Position: Technical Manager for Animal Health and Disease
Location: New Zealand (Flexible)
Are you a qualified veterinarian looking to take your expertise to the next level? We have an exciting opportunity for a Technical Manager specializing in Animal Health and Disease. In this strategic advisory role, you will play a pivotal part as the leading technical expert, offering valuable insights from an epidemiological veterinary perspective to guide our Biosecurity & Field Services department.
Key Responsibilities:
Technical Mastery: Utilize your expertise to interpret technical requirements and translate them into effective operational procedures.
Team Support: Collaborate with other Technical Managers, offering technical guidance and stepping in when needed to cover leaves.
Quality Assurance: Conduct rigorous quality checks and develop and deliver training programs for our field staff.
Strategic Advisor: Provide vital technical insights to the management team and act as a bridge with key stakeholders such as MPI and Ospri.
Financial Contribution: Contribute to customer reporting and assist in cost and pricing determinations.
About You:
You Ideally Have:
- A relevant Veterinary science degree.
- Previous experience in epidemiological or animal disease-related roles.
- Strong computer skills, including statistical modeling.
- A desire to apply your veterinary knowledge in a strategic advisory capacity.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, coupled with excellent interpersonal abilities.
