About The Role

We are currently seeking a Technical Farm Production Graduate to join our team and be based in Grong Grong, NSW. Therefore, the successful candidate needs to be willing to relocate and be based in Grong Grong. A relocation allowance will be afforded.

Reporting to the Production and Technical Manager, the key role responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • To service technical aspects of pig production and to assist in helping maximise in production using PIC breeding stock
  • Allocate and spend considerable time on farm to deliver key production drivers for successful production and genetic[RJ1]  outcomes
  • To maintain and increase technical pig knowledge and skills, monitor and document physical performance to assist in validation of the genetic value of the PIC genotype
  • Demonstrate and exercise a commitment to promote, develop and improve the health, safety, environment and welfare of our people and animals
  • Carry out any other reasonable and lawful directions that may be given from time to time by the company

 

About You

PIC has established an efficient, highly skilled yet diversified team that is dedicated to producing high quality work ethic and output.

As a key member of this team, the successful applicant must:

  • Completed a bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Agriculture, Agricultural Science, Animal Science or Veterinary Science
  • Preferably have animal experience, but not essential
  • General Agriculture experience
  • Current applicable drivers’ licence
  • Strong literacy and communication skills
  • Ability to work on farm with customers to generate beneficial outcomes
  • Excellent computer skills including MS Office experience
  • Be self-motivated, time effective and strong autonomous worker
