Our Veterinary team use their scientific background to provide technical expertise and education to our customers, sales and marketing teams. With a deep knowledge of pharmacology, animal health and production we engage scientific exchange with external experts and industry leaders ensuring the scientific value of our animal health portfolio is understood.
What You Will Do
Responsibilities include, however not limited to:
- The Technical Advisor is responsible for providing high level technical support to the Ruminant business and will be based in South Australia, Western Victoria or Western Australia
- This role will have a dairy health and production focus but will also encompass sheep and beef cattle
- Identify product and market opportunities and provide input into marketing plans and strategies
- Develop and maintain effective relationships with key accounts, veterinarians, veterinary staff and other key industry influencers
- Develop technical marketing materials and review materials for external release to ensure compliance requirements are met
- Keep the ruminant team informed on current developments of the company’s products, competitor products and current issues
- Ensure product complaint investigation, issues of internal, legislative compliance and follow up requests are executed
- Design and implement marketing trials to support commercially available products and products in development
- Develop and present technical presentations internally to sales and marketing staff as well as externally to KOL’s, end-user customers and distributors
What You Must Have
- Bachelor of Veterinary Science or equivalent (Ideally)
- Previous experience with a commercial animal health company or in the Australian livestock industry
- An understanding and passion for the Australian dairy industry
- Exceptional understanding of livestock production systems in Australia
- Commercial focus and ability to identify business opportunities, establish and maintain business relationships for the organization
- Excellent written and oral communication skills including presentations and training.
- Ability to build internal and external networks
- High ability to analyse numerical and technical data from a range of sources to produce solutions.
- Sound logical problem-solving approach
- Good management skills including time management, objective setting and budget awareness
