Work Type: Fix Term - Permanent Part Time - 15 hours per week

Location: Summerland Farm, Alstonville

About the role:

We are seeking an enthusiastic and engaging star to join our team in the role of Team Leader Animal Care. This role will see you:

  • Empower and equip Supported Employees to become skilled and productive team members
  • Provide effective operational leadership, to increase team productivity and develop a positive values-focused culture
  • Engage customers and create a positive experience through factual educational tours of animal husbandry activities
  • Ensure the provision of the animals welfare, care and maintenance in a timely manner
  • Effectively participate and lead in continuous business development opportunities
  • Provide effective coaching, and sensitive management of team members with diverse needs.

 

Essential Criteria:

  • A commitment to the Summerland Farm and Aruma's Code of Conduct
  • Qualification in Animal Studies Welfare; or equivalent knowledge and experience
  • Demonstrated experience in supervising employees and or teams
  • A practical understanding of WHS requirements
  • Sufficient physical fitness to meet the manual handling and environmental requirements of the position
  • A current Australian driver's license
