Bristol Veterinary School is recruiting a Teaching Associate (Veterinary Clinical Demonstrator) to join a community of clinical teaching staff providing support for veterinary students and veterinary nursing students across our various clinical sites. This is an exciting opportunity to become part of a dynamic and committed team of veterinary educationalists within the School. You will work closely with our clinicians, nurses and auxiliary staff to facilitate clinical and practical teaching.

You will play an important role in enhancing the student experience. As a practitioner with clinical experience and a passion for teaching, you are not expected to have referral-level experience or expertise, however, you will work to support the students in their learning from a rich, diverse and challenging caseload. You will provide feedback and contribute to assessment as well as supporting the administration associated with formal university teaching rotations. As part of the clinical educational team, you will be supported to contribute to the development of teaching and assessment and research outputs in the area of veterinary education.

You may also act as a facilitator for the new Accelerated Graduate Entry Veterinary Programme, using a case-based approach to learning. You will also contribute to the development of online and case-based teaching materials, and support practical teaching in our undergraduate programmes.

Informal enquiries can be made to vets-staff-changes@bristol.ac.uk

We welcome applications from all members of our community and are particularly encouraging those from diverse groups, such as members of the LGBT+ and BAME communities, to join us.
