The System Support Specialist - Field, will provide technical support for Allflex’s Animal Health monitoring products within the Technology category, including but not limited to: animal monitoring, milking intelligence, readers, and other electronic & software-based products and support applications. The role is remote from head offices, for proximity to customers, and will include the provision of support from company office, field (home) office, and on-farm as required to understand the needs of the customer. Required to document on farm system requirements, ensure Allflex Animal Health Intelligence systems remain operational and are restored as soon as practical, when functionality issues arise with the software, firmware or hardware.
What You Will Do
Responsibilities include, however not limited to:
- Deliver technical training programs for internal team members and external partners/distributors/installers
- Work directly with dairy farmers, our distributors and internal team member, whilst reporting directly into the Technical Manager, Technology
- Provide customer support to both internal and external stakeholders
- Maintain a customer centric approach and deliver a consistently high customer experience
- Conduct on farm site survey and system design, prepare products and applications for installation on farm-firmware, software, localisation of global product solutions to meet specific Australian use
- Train & provide technical support to the Australian team and end users
- Develop, deliver and support technical training programs for external partners/distributors
- Engage with other companies and providers to integrate with drafting, software systems, readers and data exchange as opportunities are identified
- Continue to improve process/protocol around system implementation and ongoing support
- Collaborate regularly with other teams, to meet business objectives, and contribute towards a high-performance team
- Engage with Animal Monitoring and Identification/RFID reader technical teams
- Keep abreast of trends, development and competitors in the Animal Monitoring & Milking Intelligence industry
- Effect and maintain a high standard of communication and co-operation with all internal and external parties, working closely with sales, marketing, finance, other technical and operational divisions, as required
- Liaise with global technical support teams as required to transfer knowledge to local teams, and keep abreast of company technical advancements as required
- Ensure compliance with all legal, statutory and corporate requirements.
- Ensure all company resources are effectively, efficiently, and profitably utilized
- To action the above job function in accordance with Company Commercial procedures and systems, sound business practice and by delegation as appropriate
What You Must Have
- Experience supporting one or more of the following: animal monitoring systems, automated milking systems, milking equipment, herd management systems or software
- Strong understanding of agricultural industries, dairy and beef production
- A high level of organisational and planning skills, with flexibility & agility to move from one priority to another with ease, and the ability to manage competing priorities under pressure
- Ability to develop, document and deliver technical and training resources with the ability to impart technical knowledge with a variety of audience types
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to present to groups
- Ability to work independently and remotely
- Drive to succeed with a passion for customers and delivering a high level of customer service and satisfaction
- Demonstrated collaborative sills, and the ability to work within a cross functional team environment
