RSPCA NSW is committed to the care and welfare of animals, providing extensive professional facilities, including fully equipped veterinary hospitals and our state-wide shelter network, with approximately 500 staff across NSW to care for animals.

About the Role:
Reporting to the Clinic Supervisor, you will be responsible for contributing to the delivery of quality veterinary service to our, often very dedicated, private small animal clients.
- Consult on general veterinary services
- Undertake surgical procedures
- Provide support to animal adopters and Foster Carers
- Treat animals which are subject to cruelty allegations
- Provide advice on animal welfare matters to members of the public
- Work with the community including outreach de-sexing programs
You will be provided with ongoing professional support from the RSPCA NSW Chief Veterinarian and our state-wide veterinary teams and training opportunities in our large Sydney and Hunter hospitals.
The position will also need to be on-call on average seven days a month, however, there is a veterinary triage service employed to answer initial calls.
About You:
You will have the confidence to interact with both individuals and groups and will possess strong time management and organisational skills. Plus:
- Tertiary qualifications and experience as Veterinary Surgeon
- Registration with the Veterinary Practitioners Board of NSW (or willingness to obtain)
- Highly developed diagnostic and surgical ability
- Strong communication skills both written and verbal
- Demonstrated affinity with animals and a commitment to promoting animal welfare
