Due to expansion, we have an opportunity for a colleague with a minimum of two years’ experience to join our existing small animal team of 18 vets.

Based in Malmesbury, Wiltshire we are part of the proudly independent George Veterinary Group with a Hospital and three local branches.

We provide a stimulating and supportive working environment, encouraging clinical freedom and case continuity; helping us to deliver a high standard of care.

Our vet team is friendly and approachable, and support is always available. A wide depth of knowledge is available, with certificate holders and others working towards the qualification, as well as visiting specialists.  Our superb nurse and administration team includes our own dedicated night nurses, who all ensure high professional standards of care and support.

We value the care our colleagues bring to both our patients and each other. With a 4-day week and 1:16 OOH rota, we place a strong emphasis on work-life balance.

We have a Sustainability group who proudly achieved Silver accreditation from Investors in the Environment earlier this year.  The George Forum has representation from each department to give feedback to help guide the direction of the practice.

We organise two charity events a year, most recently completing our ‘Malmesbury to Malmesbury’ challenge, with the team taking to running, swimming, cycling and even horse riding to cover over 8000 miles in the process.  Our Wellness Week encourages discussion around mental health, and we ensure we always make time for socialising outside of work. Our colleagues always enjoy our summer and Christmas parties!

As a hospital, we have all the equipment you would expect. You will have access to 5 days and £1750 CPD allowance and RCVS and BSAVA memberships paid.
