About the role
As a Senior Wildlife Officer, you will manage the staff, site and captive animal population of the Department’s wildlife management facilities for the Save the Tasmanian Devil Program (STDP).
The STDP Wildlife Management Facilities are located in Cressy, Bridport, Five Mile Beach and Freycinet.
Hours per fortnight
73.50 (minimum 58.80 hours, by negotiation).
Period of Appointment
12 months.
Desirable Requirements
- A current motor vehicle driver’s licence.
- Certificate III in Zoo Keeping/Captive Animals, or an equivalent qualification.
- A relevant veterinary nursing qualification.
- A current firearms licence or the ability to acquire one.
