Senior Technical Officer – (Livestock Vaccination)
- Salary: $103,920 - $125,735 (Plus Superannuation)
- Fixed Term until 30 June 2023

The Team
The position of Senior Technical Officer – (Livestock Vaccination) forms a part of the Agriculture Victoria Group and Biosecurity and Agriculture Services Branch. The Biosecurity and Agriculture Services (BAS) branch designs and delivers services, provides technical advice, and influences policy to support the agriculture sector to achieve sustainable growth while managing risks and minimising adverse impacts to the economy, environment and public health and safety.
The Role
The successful applicant will be supporting the delivery of the Field operations enhancements targeting high importance issues project which forms part of Agriculture Victoria's Exotic Animal Disease Preparedness Program. This program is supporting industries and DJPR to efficiently respond to Biosecurity animal disease threats.
- Detailed knowledge of DJPR's Emergency Management frameworks, policies and procedures
- Undertake a leading role in an emergency animal disease preparedness
- Liaise and work with AHW and CVO staff as well external stakeholders
About You
Key knowledge and skills requirements for this role include experience in livestock production systems in Victoria, perseveres to achieve goals, excellent written communication skills, and excellent communication skills.
