Provide quality leadership and technical support for commercial veterinary pathology services, undergraduate teaching, research, clinics and stakeholders to support high quality outcomes.

This position has a specialised focus and, as such would ideally suit an individual with skills, qualifications and experience in veterinary clinical pathology and histology.

You will be joining the Veterinary Diagnostic Laboratory technical team responsible for the provision of diagnostic veterinary haematology, cytology, serum biochemistry, histology, endocrinology and immunology.

You will also be responsible for the maintenance of equipment, a chemical stock register, the monitoring of budgets and preparation of teaching material within their discipline area and supporting additional diagnostic areas as required.

To be successful you will have:

  • A degree in Biomedical Science or closely related Discipline, with relevant skills and experience relevant to the role
  • Demonstratable skills in veterinary diagnostic haematology, cytology and serum biochemistry
  • Demonstrated commitment to working in a safe environment and minimising hazards and risk in the workplace
  • Ability to work independently and as a member of a professional team
