  • Fixed-term, until 16 September 2024. The temporary role can be offered as a fixed-term appointment (external applicants) or as a secondment opportunity (UNE current staff)
  • $102,199 to $ 118,605 per annum (HEO8)
  • Plus 17% employer superannuation. Salary packaging options are available.
  • Applicants must have full time work rights for the term of the contract.

About the role

The Senior Research Support Manager is a senior role responsible for the management of high level and complex research related administrative tasks in the development of the operational and administrative activity of the Applied Agricultural Remote Sensing Centre (AARSC). The Centre, currently employs 14 staff located at either the Armidale campus or our Brisbane office in Rocklea. The Centre is respected for strong ethical applied research, communication and engagement with industry and as a leader of national collaborative initiatives. The Centre currently has project across 14 agricultural/ horticultural industries, including projects in Peru, South Africa and Uganda.

The successful candidate of the advertised role will provide leadership and management of the operational functions of the Centre along with close managerial and administrative support to the Director. The role will also drive the promotion of the centre through the regular updating of the AARSC website, contributing to the writing of articles for industry letters and social media accounts. The Senior Research Support Manager will undertake regular evaluation, reporting, assessment, development and introduction of systems/procedures and where appropriate project manage and implement improvements.
