Description
This role is based around Bullsbrook, Neergabby and Jurien Bay so would suit someone with permanent residence living north of river.
Ensuring the Egg Production Operations remains disease free, performs optimally and operates cost effectively by regular reviewing of farms and performance data that drive the operation (e.g. Mortality Rate, Body Weight, Uniformity, Egg Weight, Feed Consumption, Hen Day %, Flock Health, Vaccinations Programs)
Identifying areas of concern and developing action plans to ensure workplace improvements. Having a comprehensive risk plan in place to prevent unforeseen challenges.
Maintain good relationships within the team and be a team player in the greater team.
Ensure adequate inventory control of the operation and prevent theft within the operation. Periodic checking of the stock, fixed assets and small valued assets in the operation. Ensure procedure whereby small valued assets are recorded on the relevant asset register.
Contributing to better management decision making by preparing and presenting timely production related reports as required by the Manager Director.
Achieving the budget by controlling operating costs, reducing waste and managing overheads in the Operation.
Maintaining a healthy, bio-secure and safe working environment by personally adhering to, and ensuring the adherence of the team, to policies and procedures on bio-security, safety, health and hygiene.
Maintaining correct manning levels with the correct skills by systematically planning and implement employee vacation schedules and accurately forecasting recruitment needs.
Assist the Farm Managers to meet or exceed job expectations by monitoring, coaching and motivating them and accompanying them during regular farm visits.
Ensuring the effective management of the flock health and taking prompt action with problems.
Directing the Farm Managers by defining and communicating the production & livestock program for each manager.
Giving feedback and gaining commitment in improving area performance by conducting performance improvement sessions, on job coaching and attending weekly operation performance meetings.
