Our Housing and Property Group is currently seeking to appoint 2 Senior Natural Resource Management Officers to undertake a range of support activities relating to the environmental, planning, natural resource and land management of Crown land. One role will support in the Orange region and the other in Dubbo. In these roles, you will liaise with government agencies, Crown Land Managers and private landholders to prepare and implement land management projects and bushfire management plans as well as monitoring activities on Crown land.  You will prepare a range of environmental assessments as well as review and assess development proposals.

 

About You

You will have a technical mindset, with solid interpretation of spatial data and experience in natural resource assessments. Generating reports and recommendations, you will have strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to deliver outcomes on conflicting priorities within a high-volume workload. Experience using Guardian and Arcmap – or other similar complex programs is highly regarded however not essential.

This is an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic individual to utilise their environmental assessment knowledge and facilitate the timely delivery of Crown Lands outcomes. We also offer career development and advancement opportunities.

 

Essential Requirements

  • Tertiary qualifications in an environmental science, natural resources, planning or other relevant field and/or equivalent level of knowledge and experience
  • Current NSW Driver Licence and willingness to travel as some field work is involved in this role
