Gribbles Scientific provides a range of laboratory services to clients throughout New Zealand. We operate in conjunction with the Gribbles Veterinary laboratory.

About the role:

Due to an internal promotion, our Dunedin Laboratory based at Mosgiel is currently offering an exciting and rewarding opportunity for a permanent full-time (40 hours per week) Senior Technician to join our busy Biochemistry/Trace Element laboratory. This is a challenging role with the potential for progression.

The ideal candidate will have some or all of the following attributes:

• BSc or equivalent, preferably with a Biochemistry or Chemistry major
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in a commercial analytical or diagnostic laboratory
• Experience with ICP-MS instrumentation would be a distinct advantage
• Proficient in method development and validation
• Familiarity with ISO/IEC 17025:2017 and IANZ requirements
• Excellent problem solving and troubleshooting skills
• Is a strong leader and can supervise and lead a team of technicians
• Eligibility to work in NZ
