Kōrero mō te tūranga - About the Role
The Disease Control group is responsible for developing the Mycoplasma bovis disease eradication strategy, policies, process and procedures for the delivery, monitoring and reporting on progress towards the end of the de-limiting phase, provisional and final proof of absence of the infectious agent within New Zealand.
The purpose of the Senior Advisor Veterinary role is to provide operational epidemiology expertise in the M. bovis programme at a senior advisor level. A key function is the design and oversight of policy, process and procedures to support and enable the timely, effective and consistent delivery of operational activities.

This may create opportunities to work on the establishment of a new business unit and help transfer the learnings and experience of the programme. This may lead to opportunities either within the Management Agency or within other parts of business units within MPI.
