Position Description:

To provide accurate and timely laboratory specimens and results for experimental studies

Functions, Duties, Tasks:

• Manage and conduct laboratory activities and test for the evaluation, efficacy of compounds, novel formulations or vaccines for the control of internal and external parasites of farm and companion animals
• Conduct specified studies in accordance with VICH Guidelines for Good Clinical Practice and OECD Principles of Good Laboratory Practice.
• Maintain and develop laboratory strains of parasite for the use in disease models in animals
• Collect biological specimens from study animals.
• Provide support to other members of the Study Management group for relevant experimental studies and provide support to other sections for relevant operational tasks.
• Present results from product development studies to appropriate internal contacts.
• Utilize technology solutions to track, receipt and process biological specimens.
• Undertake reviews of Standard Operating Procedures, forms and other document templates in conjunction with other personnel as requested.
• Assist other line functions as required to complete study tasks.
• Comply with all company local and global policies including EEO, anti-discrimination, harassment, and health, safety and environment (OH&S) policies.
• Perform any other duties or serve in any other capacity as may be determined by Company management.

Minimum Qualification (education, experience and/or training, required certifications):

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in related discipline preferably science or veterinary degree
• Minimum 5 years relevant industry experience.
• Must have sound knowledge of products, parasites (including diagnosis) and diseases.
• Must have knowledge of standard laboratory practices and procedures.
• Must be physically capable and skilled in handling animals.
• Must be a team player and possess a high level of written and oral communication skills

• Ability to work additional hours as required
• Fluency in English is essential
• Ability to undertake local, interstate and international business travel up to 10%
