Description

Gribbles Veterinary Pathology has dedicated laboratories in Melbourne and Adelaide.  We provide a diagnostic pathology service for companion animals, livestock, laboratory, biosecurity, zoo animals and wildlife.

A fantastic opportunity has become available for a Scientist to join our Clayton Veterinary laboratory team.  The position is responsible for performing a range of assigned assays, tests and tasks within the wider veterinary department, with a strong focus on the morphology of haematology samples. This is a unique opportunity for the right individual to gain expertise and knowledge in a niche field within the veterinary industry.

Expressions of interest are sort for a permanent FT Scientist, preferably with prior experience or knowledge in haematology or veterinary pathology disciplines. Ideally they will have experience in morphology and be willing to undergo extensive training to expand knowledge into the multitude of animal species that our services cover.

To be considered for the role you will need to possess the following:

  • A degree level qualification in Biological Science / Medical Science or equivalent.
  • Prior experience or knowledge in haematology or veterinary pathology disciplines, with previous experience in morphology highly considered.
  • Excellent communication skills, time management & organisational skills.
  • High attention to detail and experience working in a fast paced environment.
  • An enthusiastic approach to work.
  • Ability to multitask and successfully work as part of a team.
  • Flexible and willing to work occasional weekends and public holidays.
