Here at Royal Canin, we have an exciting opportunity in the newly created role of Regional Scientific Services Veterinarian to join the team on an initial 6 month contract basis based in Perth, Western Australia, with potential to become a more permanent role.

As part of this fun and extremely passionate team, you will be seen as the nutrition expert to help deliver health through nutrition of cats and dogs; engaging, building and maintaining relationships with key influencers in the veterinary and pet professional community to improve brand awareness and recommendation of the Royal Canin brand.

Externally, you will play a large role delivering accurate and consistent scientific messaging at seminars, events and conferences to a large variety of stakeholders such as customers, veterinarians, breeders and university students.

 

What are we looking for?

  • Demonstrated clinical veterinarian skills and clinical experience, and someone who enjoys educating and seeing others learn, whilst thriving on networking and building relationships.
  • Bachelor in Veterinary Science/Medicine recognised by the Australian State Registration boards.
  • Someone who is confident in speaking to a variety of audiences, and can collaborate well with different stakeholders.
  • A real planner who can prioritise well, yet is adaptable and has a comfort level working in ambiguity.

 

What would be your key responsibilities?

  • Creation and delivery of product and nutrition training for new associates, Consumer Care advisors, all Sales Representatives and all Brand/Pro and University Ambassadors.
  • Deliver nutrition training for key vet or retail accounts and universities throughout Western and South Australia, which includes hosting of webinars with external speakers.
  • Engage with media on occasion, including written media and participating in social media initiatives, to broadly educate a variety of audiences on pet nutrition.
  • Build and develop relationships with influential Key Opinion Leaders (KOL), aligned to the agreed Key Opinion Leader strategy and engagement plan.
