Advanced Vetcare is a growing, independently-owned referral centre. We believe in a collaborative team approach to patient care, and that the best patient outcomes come from the involvement of more than one specialist or department. This is an exciting opportunity to train in a clinical setting with 5 registered surgery specialists, 1 surgery registrar, 3 surgery residents and 3 surgery interns in a multi-disciplinary specialist veterinary hospital.
Our hospitals are well-equipped with a 64-slice CT Siemens go-Up (3 machines) and Fuji DR in each location, as well as two new flat panel Siemens Cios Select fluoroscopy set up for interventional radiology. Our theatres have everything you would expect from a specialist hospital, including an extensive range of Synthes and Biomedtrix orthopaedic and spinal kits, Stryker arthroscopy towers, Ligasure electrosurgery units, as well as running a busy Biomedtrix hip replacement program. The surgery department work collaboratively with our specialist medicine and oncology clinicians, as well as our 24-hour emergency and critical care department.
We are located in three diverse areas around Melbourne. Geelong is a beautiful coastal city on the doorstep of the world-famous Bells Beach and Great Ocean Road. Kew is within the leafy, established inner eastern suburbs with excellent local schools and easy access to the city and surrounding lifestyle suburbs. Kensington is centrally located in the inner west, with easy access to excellent public transport and the vibrancy of being located so close to the centre of Melbourne.
Remuneration will be generous and negotiable on experience.
