As a Research Veterinarian you will:

  • Provide hands-on execution of basic and advanced veterinary clinical techniques for the in-life phase of studies.
  • Implement, manage and coordinate facility based and remote field site studies evaluating the efficacy & safety, and/or tolerance of animals, of compounds, novel formulations, or vaccines in accordance with VICH Guidelines & OECD Principles of Good Laboratory Practice.
  • Administer veterinary medicines to study animals using a range application techniques, perform clinical assessments and collect biological specimens.
  • Provide practical training on clinical procedures.
  • Implement, supervise and/or maintain new and existing clinical models.
  • Contribute in a timely manner to high quality study protocols/plans, SOPs and scientific reports.
  • Comply with all company local and global policies including EEO, anti-discrimination, harassment, and health, safety and environment (OH&S) policies.

 

Minimum qualifications, training and experience: 

  • Degree in Veterinary Medicine.
  • Graduates and international qualifications accepted; AVBC registration desired but not mandatory.
  • Permanent work rights in Australia is a pre-requisite
  • Demonstrated relevant industry experience desirable
  • Strong problem solving and analytical abilities.
  • Basic knowledge of products, pests and diseases.
  • Physically capable and skilled in handling animals.

 

Additional Preferences:

  • Team player with a high level of written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to undertake local, interstate & international business travel.
  • Ability to work additional hours as required.
  • Fluency in English is essential.
