Job Details

Under the leadership of Kamil Kranc (Director of Centre for In Vivo Modelling) and Glyn Fisher (Head of Biological Services), we are seeking to appoint a an enthusiastic and committed veterinary surgeon to take up the position of Research Manager & Named Veterinary Surgeon. The successful applicant will join the ICR’s scientists and Biological Services Unit (BSU) staff across our two campuses (Chelsea and Sutton) to help drive breakthroughs in cancer research. The responsibilities include planning and managing complex in vivo studies, ensuring compliance with the Animal (Scientific Procedures) Act 1986, and delivering expert high-quality veterinary care for the ICR. The appointee will also provide training to ICR staff, guiding them on best practices in animal welfare and in vivo procedures. Additionally, the post holder's expertise will be integral to the Animal Welfare & Ethical Review Body, contributing to the implementation of the 3Rs and aiding Home Office Project Licence applications.

The post holder will play an instrumental role in helping us deliver this vision by contributing our in vivo research and animal welfare. While the ideal candidate should have a veterinary degree, PhD, research experience, and extensive clinical expertise, candidates at all stages of their veterinary careers are invited to apply.
