About Dogs Victoria
Dogs Victoria (Victorian Canine Association) is the peak body representing owners and breeders of purebred dogs in Victoria and has a history dating back to 1877 and represents over 8,000 members and 250 individual clubs. Dogs Victoria, together with our members deliver over 1000 events across Victoria offering many member services to support the industry.
Dogs Victoria is dedicated to promoting ethical and sustainable breeding and preservation of purebred dogs, maintaining the integrity of the registry, the advancement of all dog sports for all dogs and advocates for our members and the canine community.
About the Opportunity
Based in the Dogs Victoria registration office in Skye, this role provides an opportunity to work within the Registration and Licencing team which is responsible for end-to-end servicing of member inquiries and applications across Dogs Victoria and the Dogs Australia Registry database.
As a member of this team, you will interact with our members via phone, digitally or face to face as we strive to deliver an exceptional member experience. This dynamic, member facing role calls for excellent communication, stakeholder engagement skills and a strong attention to detail.
You will be a self-starter who is confident and will play a pivotal role in maintaining our high standards of member satisfaction and accurately issue certified documentation.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Providing excellent customer service as the primary point of contact for member enquiries
- Coordinate processing of member applications and associated database updates of member records under the direction of the Team Leader and/or Office Operations Manager
- Coordinate member correspondence including letters and postage
- Collaborate with the Finance, Events and Compliance teams
Experience
The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate
- Exceptional written and verbal communication
- Strong organisation skills
- Excellent active listening, communication and customer service skills
- Proficient computer skills
- Take pride in your work with high attention to detail
- An ability to interpret and follow Dogs Victoria and the Dogs Australia Constitutions, Rules & Regulations as well as relevant legislation
- The ability to identify and implement problem resolution strategies
- Strong experience with high volume customer inquiry workplaces
- Time management and multi-tasking skills
- Cash handling and payment processing experience
- Filing and ad-hoc administrative duties as required
