To support our continued expansion, we are currently looking for a Quality Associate with a background in microbiology to join the Quality Assurance/Quality Control team.

About the role

  • As a delegate to the Quality Manager, you will be the Authorised Person for batch review and release for supply of pharmaceutical products
  • Investigation of batch failures to assess possible root causes and implement corrective and preventive measures
  • Ensure GDP is followed throughout the batch manufacturing process
  • Support registration, testing and approval of In Process Samples
  • Ensure analytical data complies with requirements for report creation according to GMP requirements
  • Coordinate environmental monitoring for the sterile manufacturing facility
  • Process analytical data using relevant software and report results
  • Monitor trends and input data from analysis into LIMS system
  • On demand, maybe required to conduct microbiological testing of in-process and finished products including Injectables, creams, suspensions, powders, and tablets using Celsis Acecel.
  • Calibration and maintenance of laboratory equipment

 

What we are looking for

  • A minimum of 3+ years’ experience in a GMP regulated environment
  • Tertiary qualifications in Microbiology or equivalent
  • Must have experience reviewing documents for quality compliance and batch release
  • Experience in Quality Control and technical skills supporting this function (such as instrument use, OOS investigations, procedure preparation)
  • Excellent organisational and communication Skills
  • Outstanding attention to detail and ability to prioritise
  • Experience working with Microsoft Applications – Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel
  • Some exposure to traditional microbial identification testing is an added advantage
