ABOUT THE ROLE

AHA is seeking two (2) Project Officer’s to join the Project Management Office (PMO) on a fixed term basis, to work closely with the Biosecurity and Emergency Preparedness and Response (EPR) teams to coordinate and conduct project secretariat activities and support the successful delivery of projects.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Provide project secretariat support (assisting chair to develop agendas, collate and circulate papers, prepare, and circulate minutes and actions, invite and coordinate guest speakers)
  • Organise meeting logistics (doodle polls, video call set-up, travel, accommodation, catering, venue booking, etc.).
  • Manage correspondence, including monitoring and managing of mailboxes, telephone/email enquiries
  • Demonstrate AHA values in their daily approach to work and interactions with internal and external stakeholders.

Total remuneration for this position is in the range of $60,000 - $70,000 (including super) and will be commensurate with the successful candidate’s level of experience.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

Essential

  • Minimum 12 months experience in administration or project support roles
  • Demonstrated ability to provide a high level of service and support to internal and external stakeholders
  • Strong time management and organisational skills with the ability to show initiative, flexibility, and work on multiple priorities in parallel to meet varying deadlines
  • Sound interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
  • An understanding and ability to implement policies and practices with demonstrated skills and experience in administration
  • Demonstrated ability to successfully work independently and as part of a team, collaborating with leaders and colleagues at all levels of the organisation
  • Commitment to deliver excellent customer service
  • Demonstrated resilience and ability to adapt to, and promote, change
  • Proficient in Microsoft Teams, contemporary office software applications, internet communication tools and Microsoft Excel skills.

Desirable

  • Experience working in multi-project environment
  • Experience and/or working knowledge of animal health and/or biosecurity
