Why Your Role Matters:
The Project Officer will support the Project Manager in EPIWATCH® commercialization, marketing, and website management with a focus on human or animal health.
The role entails providing project coordination and support, reporting and analytical support, developing communications and marketing material, building key internal and external relationships, and providing administrative and financial management support.
This position is within the Biosecurity Program and reports to the Project Manager, Biosecurity Program.
Skills and Experience:
- Tertiary qualification in animal or human health with subsequent relevant experience in animal or human health.
- Ability to interpret and analyse information about human or animal health.
- Creative and design skills, and ability to design content for marketing materials and website, using background knowledge of human or animal health.
- Experience working with Adobe Creative Cloud suite (Photoshop, Premier, etc) and other graphic design packages.
- Experience in creating simple project budgets, monitoring expenses vs budgets, and simple financial analyses and reporting. Experience with UNSW finance system desirable.
- Excellent time management skills, with a demonstrated ability to respond to changing priorities, manage multiple tasks and meet competing deadlines by using judgement and initiative.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a high level of attention to detail for deliverables produced.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and productively within a team, but also to take initiative and work independently while managing competing demands.
- Experience in organising or assisting work related events is desirable
- An understanding of and commitment to UNSW’s aims, objectives and values in action, together with relevant policies and guidelines.
- Knowledge of health & safety (psychosocial and physical) responsibilities and commitment to attending relevant health and safety training.
