Your New Chapter

At VetPartners, we pride ourselves on delivering shared services support that drives success for our veterinary clinics. We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to implement our PIMS (Practice Information Management System) solution. You will work with a top-tier PIMS implementation partner to oversee all aspects of the project. This role requires strong project management skills, experience in implementing similar systems, and the ability to work collaboratively with various stakeholders.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Management: Act as the primary point of contact for project management, both for the implementation partner and internally.
  • Solution Implementation: Oversee all solution and module implementation using a structured methodology.
  • Resource and Schedule Planning: Plan and allocate resources and schedules to ensure timely project delivery.
  • Reporting: Report to and escalate issues to the project steering committee as required.
  • Risk Management: Perform risk management to identify and mitigate project risks, assessing the financial and operational impacts.
  • Documentation: Create and maintain appropriate project documentation.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Support, promote, and collaborate with subject matter experts in Marketing, Technology, Operations, and other areas of the business to ensure appropriate stakeholder engagement and communication.
  • Change Management: Apply change management methodology and tools to create a strategy for the successful adoption of changes required by the project.
  • Impact Assessment: Assess the change impact on teams and individuals throughout the project period and plan to mitigate any adverse impacts.
  • Communication: Support the design, development, delivery, and management of project communications.

 

Skills, Attributes, and Experience:

Essential:

  • Minimum of 5 years in a similar project management role.
  • Strong functional working knowledge and experience in implementing PIMS or similar systems.
  • Proven leadership experience with the ability to motivate and build rapport with others to deliver on key business objectives.
  • Demonstrated skills in analytical and critical thinking, problem-solving, prioritization, and proactive decision-making.
  • Ability to work both strategically and operationally as part of a team.

 

Desirable:

  • Experience in high-change environments and new business applications.
  • Demonstrated flexibility and successful integration with high-change environments.
  • Additional certifications in project management or change management methodologies.
  • Experience working in the veterinary or healthcare industry.
