Talent International is working in partnership with our federal government client in seeking a Business Project Manager to oversee business & operational readiness.

 

The role:

Project Manager, Operational Readiness, Activation and Transition (ORAT)

 

The Project Manager, Operational Readiness, Activation and Transition (ORAT) testing will lead planning and delivery of the department's program to systematically test systems, processes and procedures.

 

The role requires development of the testing plan, in parallel with an overarching plan and program, and leading delivery and performance monitoring of operational readiness and completeness of business processes and procedures, systems and technology and infrastructure and facilities to mitigate risks prior to day one operations commencing.

 

Key activities include to:

  • Ensure business processes and facilities are operationally functional to meet regulatory risk management requirements in accordance with relevant legislation - Biosecurity Act (2015), Export Control Act 2020.
  • Engage with internal stakeholders across policy, operational and corporate functional readiness, including, but not limited to, Biosecurity and Compliance, Agricultural Trade and Strategy and Services groups.
  • Provide conduit to ensure people readiness, staff safety and familiarisation with systems, processes and procedures and facilities.
  • Interface with internal subject matter stakeholders to ensure technology readiness, implementation and testing of systems and devices.
  • Test and trial facilities, systems, process flows and people interface.
  • Implement and maintain governance to track compliance and performance with delivery schedule and key milestones.
  • Maintain an issues and mitigation register and actively resolve issues prior to opening on day one.
