Professor or Full Professor in Small Animal Surgery, UCD School of Veterinary Medicine, Permanent


Applications are invited for the permanent post of Professor or Full Professor in Small Animal Surgery.


The Section of Small Animal Clinical Studies of the School of Veterinary Medicine in UCD has created one permanent post at a senior level to support continued growth and strategic planning in the small animal area. Appointment is available at different grades, Professor or Full Professor, subject to qualifications and experience of the candidates


Applicants must hold a degree in veterinary medicine registerable with the Veterinary Council of Ireland or a specialist degree with which an application for limited registration with the Veterinary Council (see could be made. The successful applicant must be an active specialist in Small Animal Surgery with European (ECVS) or American (ACVS) board certification.


Professor Salary Scale: €84,638- €112,271 per annum
Full Professor Salary Scale: €115,887- €148,886 per annum
Appointment will be made on scale and in accordance with the Department of Finance guidelines.
