About the Role

Our goal is to enhance and further embed the School’s reputation by developing our research, partnerships, perspectives and ambitions towards our vision. To support this goal we wish to appoint our next Professor/Associate Dean for Research.

Alongside the Professional position the role will be expected to provide strategic and operational leadership support to the Executive Dean of the School on the development, implementation and monitoring of the school’s research and innovation strategy and plan, and, the enhancement of a world class quality research environment, income, output and impact. They will be an active and engaged member of the schools leadership team working closely with colleagues within the school and across the university, exploring new research opportunities and partnerships, fostering inter-disciplinary teamwork and driving excellence.

Candidates should have a proven excellence in their own field of research and a demonstratable history of leadership and developing outstanding research environments and successful outcomes in supporting research. They should be qualified to doctoral level and ideally have experience of working in a similar leadership role.
