Role Overview

The Production Administrator (Agriculture) forms part of the Riverbend Pork Group Production Team. You will be responsible for department data entry and associated reporting, and providing administrative and general support to the Chief Operating Officer (COO) as well as to the wider Production Team.

 

Main Duties/Responsibilities: 

  • Providing day to day support to the Chief Operating Officer (COO) and wider Production team (including contractors).
  • Production department related data entry and reporting.
  • Management of herd recording database, including data collation, entry and reporting.
  • Maintenance of Production related records, filing and shared drives.
  • Creation and distribution of weekly Production reports and maintain records.
  • Assisting with internal and external Production related queries including issue resolution, escalation and inbox management.
  • Liaising with and relationship building with on-farm Production staff including Pyramid Managers, Farm Managers and Contract Growers.
  • Assisting in Production related project delivery as required.
  • Site visits as required.

 

Skills & Experience: 

Essential

  • Capacity to work closely with Chief Operating Officer (COO) and senior Production Team members.
  • Previous administrative, data entry experience (minimum 2 years). 
  • Ability to communicate effectively and maintain strong, positive relationships with a wide variety of stakeholders.
  • Ability to take initiative in data provision and problem solving among a remote team.
  • The ability to work independently, as well as in a strong team environment.
  • Strong organisational skills with a positive attitude.
  • Experience in Microsoft Office suite of programs, particularly Excel.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Ability to meet tight deadlines.
  • A ‘can do’ attitude combined with the ability to ask for assistance where required.

Desired

  • Working knowledge of Porcitec or equivalent production herd recording software/s.
  • Administrative or agribusiness related qualification or training.
  • Previous agricultural administrative experience.
