Practice Manager

This position is an exciting opportunity to lead the practice into the next stage of its development.

This a new role.  A handover will be provided, but we also want you to bring your own flair to the role.

You will need a strategic mindset, an ability to forge strong partnerships within the community and a focus on leading people through change. Our business success has always been a team effort, so we’re looking for a leader who can maintain a positive and high performing team culture

About the role:

• Lead positive change by example and through nurturing the team, ensuring they have career satisfaction and opportunities for growth.
• Work directly with the business owner to free his time so he can focus on patient care. You need to be comfortable in the driver’s seat with a positive and enthusiastic outlook.
• Identify areas for improvement and drive change
• Leverage our existing industry partnerships to generate new business enquiries
• Continued development and maintenance of systems and protocols for the business
• Ability to organise and prioritise a task list that can change daily.
• Manage the HR side of our business including recruitment, inductions, staff training, rosters, team meetings and performance reviews
• Implement and monitor the practice’s operating budget
• Maintain accurate financial records and provide regular reports to practice owners
• Manage client satisfaction and complaints
• Oversee the ordering of stock and materials
• Ensure the practice building and workspaces are conducive to a safe and practical work environment including managing maintenance and compliance schedules for practice equipment

 About you:

• You’ll be determined and goal oriented with a great track record of management with a minimum of 5 years experience
• You’ll have demonstrated experience in leading a team with empathy and fairness
• Although an in-depth understanding of what is required in a general Veterinary Practice would be of value it is not essential.
• You find joy in the details and following through tasks to completion

The finer details:

• Permanent Part-time role with anticipated flexibility and a minimum of 20 hours a week.
• Salary would be commensurate with experience with an indicative range of $80-100K annualised full time equivalent plus super and employee benefits
• Work mainly at our Palm Beach location, some duties can be performed remotely, however the interface with staff will be an essential component of the role.
