An amazing opportunity to work in the beautiful environment of Phillip Island managing a high functioning veterinary team. Experience working in veterinary clinics is not essential, leadership and management skills are.

You will be leading an experienced, motivated team that provides patient centred care in a busy clinical setting. Your role will be to provide guidance and focus following leadership principles to allow the team to further develop in a psychologically safe working environment. You will be working in a safe to fail environment where challenges are seen as opportunities and continual development and improvement is highly valued.

Cowes is a small cohesive community with many visitors coming to see its raw beauty and native wildlife. This leads to a highly diverse client base from resident locals, weekend locals and one-time visitors. As practice manager you will be client facing and will be comfortable with client communication and problem resolution. You will have the scope to organise and collaborate with all levels of the team to ensure that the daily needs of the clinic are met. In addition, you will be developing and implementing processes to optimise the client experience.

Your responsibilities will include developing and maintaining brand reputation through marketing. This will be a multi-faceted approach and will include use of traditional and social media outlets. You will be undertaking tasks such as creating articles for print and e media and ensuring that socials are kept vibrant and current. You will gather and use customer testimonials, keep the website up to date, and look for opportunities that will put our name in front of our client base.

You will be working for a family-owned company which always strives to improve the services provided to our clients and patients whilst in a supportive and rewarding environment for those who collaborate with us. In keeping with our ethos of continually improving, we will provide you with support and further development of your leadership skills. This will include further external training.

Cowes Veterinary Surgery uses cutting edge cloud-based software including EzyVet which is directly integrated with our suppliers and Xero. Timely technical support is provided both from within the group and externally. A fully integrated in-house laboratory ensures immediate and proper integration of investigations with the flow of clinical services. Full training in the use of our E-Systems will be provided.
