Job Description:
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage pet sourcing, validation, health & behavior assessment and rehoming program
- Manage overall pet health, preventive and wellbeing program; interact with external vet and behaviorist to ensure effective and quality services
- Manage and maintain records of pet health & wellbeing data, treatments, care and physical conditions.
- Plan and manage pet training, development & socialization activity; familiarize pets after pet recruitment
- Provide pet medical care and treatments; conduct preliminary health check and screening and refer the health issues to external vet
- Render emergency treatment to pets
- Manage and maintain inventory of vet suite’s pet medical care, equipment and supplies
- Provide guidance, train, assist pet caretakers on the proper care and treatment of pets
- Manage Pet Center as a registered research center.
- Assist Pet Center Manager in implementation of SOPs to maximize efficiency and care of pets consistent with Mars standards
- The job holder works closely with Pet Center team – Pet Center Manager, Operations Technicians, Data Management Technician and other caretaker teams; as well as Mars R&D Product, CTI (Consumer Technology Insight), Q&FS, Commercial, SRA, Health Safety & Environment, Site Technical and external parties such as vet, behaviorist, clinics/hospitals, vendors, suppliers, local authorities.
Job Specifications/Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Veterinary with over 3 years of work experience.
- Experienced working with animals in veterinary clinics, kennels, cattery or animal shelter facilities (a plus)
- Certified lab animal user is a plus
- Treat animals with respect; ability to handle animals safely and with patience and gentleness
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Good teamwork, communication, negotiation, collaborating with others and presentation skill
- Good command of spoken and written English
- High curiosity and be an agile leaner
- Self-motivated, well organized, goal oriented and works effectively under pressure
