About the Role
We are looking for someone to partner with our Specialist and Emergency businesses in Victoria with a primary focus on building strong and meaningful relationships in order to help us reach our strategic and operational business goals. Based at Veterinary Referral Hospital located in Dandenong, you will provide tactical and operational support, advice, guidance and real time solutions to help our teams effectively deliver their people plans. This role will suit someone in a HR Advisor level role who is adaptable, pragmatic and dedicated.
This will be a 12 month Full Time Contract and must be able to drive to other locations within Victoria.

An overview of our role:
- Provide advice, guidance, coaching and support to managers and field teams in all areas of people including but not limited to performance management, employee assistance, employment relations, industrial relations and HR processes.
- Operational HR and employee relations advice on matters relating to employment terms and conditions, including employment legislation and the interpretation of multiple industrial instruments/awards
- Coaching leaders on change management, culture and communication initiatives.
- Develop company leadership capability and confidence in employment relations issues through training
- Develop strategies to source, attract, screen, recruit and select high-quality nursing candidates
- Ensure all hiring managers are kept up to date with vacancies
- HR admin including employee paperwork and contract amendments
- Supporting the payroll team with employee details, amendments, and remuneration advice
A little about you and your background:
We are looking for an HR professional who thrives in an environment that is fast paced, dynamic, vibrant and challenging. You will be trusted to work autonomously whilst maintaining strong relationship with the whole HR team.
- A tertiary qualification in HR or a related discipline, and/or at least four-five years’ experience in a similar partnering role
- Track record of building good relationships and credibility with business leaders based on solid commercial and operational understanding and an ability to identify customer needs and go beyond just delivering defined HR solutions
- A solid understanding of the Fair Work Act and ability to comprehend and adhere to industrial instrument
- Strong organisational and time management skills including the ability to manage changing priorities and to work to deadlines.
- Ability to act with professionalism, confidentiality, and discretion.
- Excellent communication skills, including competency to produce professionally written documentation.
- Intermediate proficiency in the Microsoft Suite.
- Experience in recruiting professional roles, either within internal or agency recruitment.
