Mixed Practice looking for Part-time Veterinary Nurse in Central QLD

An amazing job opportunity has become available for an experienced Veterinary Nurse to join our team at Gray Street Veterinary Clinic.

GSVC is a true mixed practice vet clinic where nurses are able to further their skills and are valued members of the team.

This position covers all aspects of veterinary nursing with large and small animals from assisting with a wide surgical caseload, diagnostic sampling, in house pathology, animal handling and other general nursing duties.

The ideal candidate will have the following skills and expertise:

• Ability to effectively and consistently communicate with both clients and fellow team members in a constructive way
• An all-rounder experienced nurse, confident with surgery and anaesthesia monitoring for both small and large animals.
• Good time management and organisation skills
• Ability to participate in a shared weekday & weekend on-call roster
• Confident in handling small and large animals
• Certificate IV in Veterinary nursing or equivalent experience (not essential but beneficial)
• Able to work independently and in a team environment
