ABOUT THE ROLE
TAFE NSW are seeking Part Time Casual Teachers of Animal Studies to work in the Animal Care and Management teaching section. The role is responsible for a range of activities, which supports learners, and enhances the student learning experience. As a professional educator you will skill the workforce of tomorrow by constructing and guiding the educative process. In the role, you will deliver face-to-face educational programs and facilitate practical learning, enabling students to achieve their desired outcomes.
This position is casual and has a pay rate of $84.69 per hour. For full details about the position please review the Position Description and Information Pack.
ABOUT YOU
To succeed in the role, you are passionate about sharing your knowledge and industry experience to ensure that your students are set up for success. You will be committed to keeping industry relevant and current to ensure your students are prepared to meet the demands of this engaging industry. You have demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and build relationships with stakeholders including colleagues, industry, and students. You are self-driven and disciplined individual, who can manage high workloads and competing demands within a dynamic and flexible work environment.
To be successful in this role you must:
- Have appropriate subject knowledge with a commitment to maintain technical industry currency in any discipline, and skills and vocational qualifications, such as the below mentioned, equivalent or higher:
- A Certificate III in Captive Animals; and/or
- A Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing.
- Hold the TAE40116 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment, or the TAE40110 qualification with the required additional upgrade units, or higher-level qualification in adult education.
- Have a minimum of three (3) years post-qualification experience in the animal care industry relevant to your qualifications, gained no later than the previous five years. With the ability to understand the content of the learning materials and the processes used in the discipline.
