About the Animal Facility team:
The Animal Facility team provides a high standard of technical support, animal care and welfare across PC2 and Quarantine facilities.
Role Purpose / Responsibilities:
Applications are invited for the Operational Supervisor position. This position reports to the Animal Facility Manager and is responsible for the supervision of a moderate size Operational team; this position manages the day to day operations of preparation and cleaning of scientific equipment within the Animal Facility. The aim is to ensure equipment is delivered on time and Standard Operating Procedures are followed.
About you:
To be successful in this position you will have:
- Experience as a supervisor; leading a team (training new team members; managing team performance; fostering positive culture)
- Excellent computer skills; high level of organisational skills with the ability to meet deadlines
- Excellent written communication and interpersonal skills
- Proven and demonstrated abilities in aseptic techniques and sterilisation processes; with knowledge of containment and exclusion practices; and maintenance procedures
- Demonstrated experience in using good judgement, with limited direction, when making decisions
Remuneration: Salary range is $72,799 to $80,209 p.a. plus super and salary packaging. This is a full-time appointment, permanent position.
