As the National Key Account Manager, you will lead the strategic execution of key account management across the Covetrus offering to maximise all sales opportunities, proactively create new opportunities and achieve sales targets. You will focus on developing and managing relationships with Key Accounts and working with them on business growth opportunities beneficial to all parties.
Integral to the national sales team, will be your drive to achieve outstanding partnerships and positive customer and operational excellence with key accounts through the delivery of strategic business priorities.
Your main responsibilities will be;
- Establish and maintain major account relationships and meet personal sales targets
- Identify target accounts and opportunities within the framework of the organisation- wide strategy
- Build strong client relationships over time that allow for continuity and ongoing representation
- Participates with other key account managers and sales management, in development of sales strategies for national accounts;
- Execute cycle priorities deployed by marketing and BU’s as it relates to specific key accounts
- Responsible for developing a B2B strategy for connected partners, corporate and independent sales, gross profit margins
- Leads & assists with the Joint Business Planning (JBP) process with Key accounts to create programs that benefit
- Influence internal stakeholders to drive mutually beneficial results for our partners and Covetrus.
To be successful you have;
- Experienced National Account Managment in the Animal Health channel
- Strong negotiating and people management skills
- Solid understanding of key account processes and sales drivers
- A hands-on, participative, leadership style who can adapt to change and encourage creative problem solving
- Superior communication skills —written, oral, and presentation skills
- Strong analytical skills, commercial acumen, organisaiton and planning skills
- Competent computer skills, including accessing and presenting relevant data and market analysis
