Description

Inglis has an opportunity to join our established and respected BLOODSTOCK DEPARTMENT in the role of NATIONAL BLOODSTOCK ADMINISTRATOR.

The successful applicant will have the ability to work effectively and efficiently within the Bloodstock team as well as within a broader area.  This is a full-time position, reporting to the General Manager of Bloodstock Operations & International Development.  The role is based at Riverside Stables, our Warwick Farm complex and requires the successful candidate to undertake some interstate travel and occasional work which may be outside of usual business hours.

 

The key responsibilities include:

  • Manage documentation associated with the sale and purchase of horses
  • Liaise with vendors to ensure horses meet the requirements for public auction
  • Process documentation such as ID cards, pregnancy certificates and other reports
  • Conduct inspections and identification of all horses offered for sale
  • Coordinate and assist with various communications to vendors in the lead up to sales
  • Ensure vendors have all the materials needed at auctions, such as hip stickers, pedigrees etc
  • Assist the General Manager of Bloodstock Operations & International Development with general office duties and answer general enquires
  • Co-ordinate with veterinarians

 

Skills & Experience

  • An attention to detail and superb organisational skills is essential for this role
  • Some knowledge/experience in document handling in the Thoroughbred Industry is required
  • Proficiency with Excel and Microsoft Word is necessary, knowledge of Ardex software would be advantageous
  • An ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks at once
  • Excellent communication and people skills
  • An interest in the Bloodstock industry is desirable
