About the Position:

We are seeking a driven, proactive team player to join the Bacterin Production team who:

  • Available to work Monday – Friday (6am – 2pm or 12pm-8pm), plus any necessary overtime.
  • Available to work occasional weekends to meet the needs of the business.
  • Organized and has good time management skills.
  • Understands the needs of a fast-paced environment and can work under pressure while still producing quality work.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Capable of working within a clean room for long periods of time.
  • Can handle bulky and heavy items within a manufacturing & production environment.
  • Is comfortable using various types of laboratory equipment.
  • Is comfortable working with various Microbiological Organisms.

 

Key Position Objectives:

Reporting to the Bacterin Manager & Team Leader, the role will focus on:

  • Bacterial culturing in broths and on agar plates.
  • Collecting samples for QC testing.
  • Cell Counts.
  • Sterile filling (within a clean room).
  • Good laboratory housekeeping and cleaning.
  • Compliance with quality standards and adhering to SOP’s/work instructions.
  • Keeping detailed and accurate GMP records.
  • Carrying out other tasks as directed by the Team Leader and/or Manager.
  • Working closely with the Quality Department.
  • Working with warm rooms, pH meters, BSCs, liquid nitrogen, RO water, fermenters, centrifuges, shakers, incubators, liquid nitrogen tanks and other equipment.
  • Assisting with internal and external audits.

 

Qualifications & Attributes: 

As a critical role within Treidlia Biovet, the successful applicant will most likely possess the following attributes:

  • University or TAFE qualification in laboratory work, with a focus on Microbiology.
  • Previous work experience in a GMP/GLP environment and/or PC2 laboratory will be highly regarded.
  • Clean room experience desirable.
  • Diligent with attention to detail.
  • Very good documentation skills.
  • Good communication & computer skills (Excel, Word etc).
  • Possess good team building skills.
  • Able to work independently and collaboratively, while following directives where necessary.
