This company is based in the Western Suburbs of Sydney and is well known as a manufacturer/ supplier of specialist additives and chemicals used in a range of industries from personal care through to the construction and building industry.

About the Role:

Evolve Scientific Recruitment is seeking an experienced Microbiologist for this contract opportunity. Experience and a proven track record in the industrial and personal care industry with a strong testing focus is essential.

Duties:

• Microbiological testing
• Sample receipt and preparation
• Set up and maintenance of cultures media
• Monitoring/calibration of equipment such as autoclaves, pH meters, fridge etc.
• Environmental monitoring and documentation
• General lab upkeep such as consumable stock takes and clean up
• Driving continuous improvement

Skills & Experience:

• Qualifications in Microbiology or related discipline essential
• Experience in an industrial micro lab testing samples essential
• Experience in a Microbiologist role in household/personal care desirable
• Sound knowledge in ISO/NATA and other relevant regulatory bodies
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
