REC Equine Specialists (REC) requires a full time Medical Reports Co-ordinator in our busy Horsley Park hospital.
REC is a purely equine veterinary practice servicing a wide range of horses and ponies, from miniature to elite race and sport horses. Although we have a proud history and extensive experience servicing the Thoroughbred Racing industry for more than 70 years, a wide array of breeds and conditions are treated daily providing the best possible surgical and medical care for the horses of NSW and beyond. Our practice of registered equine specialist’s services the fields of surgery, medicine and anaesthesia.
The successful applicant will assist our team of veterinarians to ensure that veterinary medical reports are produced accurately and in a timely fashion and distributed.
Responsibilities of this position will include but are not limited to:
- Generating & editing veterinary reports
- Communications with various recipients of our veterinary reports including our veterinarians, trainers, owners, stud farms, referring veterinarians, clients and service providers.
- Some invoicing along with adding/amending client and horse details in our practice software.
- Co-ordinating our short term student intake.
- Some administration tasks
The successful candidate will have the following skills and expertise:
- Minimum 3 years experience in a medical reporting or medical administration role
- Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal)
- Superb attention to detail
- Tech savvy with strong computer skills in Word, Adobe and Outlook
- Ability to learn quickly using cloud-based medical storage systems
- Strong organisational and time management skills
- Excellent customer service
- Veterinary medical terminology knowledge would be an advantage
- Thoroughbred Racing Industry knowledge would also be handy but not essential
- Ability to work Monday to Friday from 10am – 6pm.
