Locum Veterinarian

at The Cat Protection Society of Victoria
Published August 18, 2022
Expires September 11, 2022
Location Greensborough, VIC, Australia
Category Veterinary Practice – Mixed Animal
Job Type Temporary

Description

Located in Greensborough and operating for 75 years, The Cat Protection Society of Victoria is a not for profit animal welfare organisation committed to working with the community to ensure that every cat has the opportunity for a loving, safe and healthy home.

Our feline dedicated purpose-built veterinary clinic includes modern consulting rooms, digital X-ray capability including dental X-rays and Idexx Catalyst One/Procyte Dx Haematology Analyser for in house pathology.

We are looking for a locum veterinarian to help in our shelter clinic over the month of January to cover annual leave. There will be further work through 2023 if desired.

The locum position is flexible and we are happy for the role to either include both medicine and surgery or be a 100% surgical role, allowing the other vets to focus on the cats in the hospital and shelter. With no client involvement there is considerable freedom to work up complex cases in a supportive team environment.

We are looking for a veterinarian with a minimum of 2 years experience (no shelter experience required), with sound animal welfare ethics and good communication skills.

Our hours are Monday–Friday 8.30am-4.30pm but the hours and days worked can be tailored to your availability.

If you are interested in joining us for January 2023, and maybe other dates if you enjoy working with us, we would love to hear from you.
