As the Livestock Quality Systems Coordinator, you will get to combine your love of animal welfare and compliance in this role as you visit local farms to carry out audits, training, and provide guidance to local and regional teams to ensure animal welfare and compliance is being adhered to

You will be joining an Australian icon who has been constantly growing and evolving over the last 100 years to now be a leader in their field when it comes to poultry. With sites all over Australia and a team of staff who are passionate about animal welfare, you will be joining the Tamworth team.

Description

This is a 'hands-on' role some of your tasks will include:

  • Travelling in your company car to local farms and carrying out routine audits on breeder and poultry farms
  • Conduct internal auditing against 3rd party and customer standards
  • Keep track, update and maintain quality systems
  • Coordinate with internal teams both locally and regional to ensure compliance
  • Assist local farming personnel with training to ensure compliance
  • Maintaining current procedures and updating documentation as required

Whilst the role is based in Tamworth, you will also travel to both local farms and potentially regional and interstate sites as required.

Profile

You will receive full training and support in this role, whilst we would ideally love that you have formal qualifications in animal science, auditing and quality we are more interested in your passion for the industry, compliance understanding and your ability to learn and influence

You will also have:

  • Experience working with animals with an interest in animal welfare
  • Strong leadership skills and the ability to influence
  • An understanding of compliance, audits and quality assurance
  • Ability to work independently and manage your own day
  • Excellent communication at all levels
  • A team player who takes initiative and responsibility

Please note; You will be working around chickens, and as such due to bio-security requirements you cannot own any pigs, birds, or poultry at your place of residence.
