About the role
The Lord Howe Island Board is looking for a Leader to head up the Biosecurity Program on beautiful Lord Howe Island.
The Team Leader Biosecurity will lead the development, implementation, analysis and reporting of biosecurity monitoring programmes, and ensure best practice surveillance and effective pest management is applied at all times to protect the Islands World Heritage values.
The role is responsible for managing and coordinating the activities of an established team of biosecurity officers and resources to implement the Lord Howe Island Biosecurity Strategy, Rodent Biosecurity Plan and other strategic plans. The role undertakes functions of an Authorised Officer under the NSW Biosecurity Act 2015 and works across the spectrum of Prevention, Preparedness and Incursion Response.
The role provides timely and accurate information and advice on biosecurity matters to senior management, maintains records and systems, and manages a demanding workload.

About you

You’ll thrive in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities and have the ability to deliver outcomes with available resources.
