The School of Veterinary Medicine has an exciting opportunity for a MRCVS registered veterinary surgeon to apply for the post of Lecturer/Senior Lecturer in Intensive Animal Health and Production.

The University of Surrey is an international university with a world-class teaching and research profile and an enterprising spirit. Inventive and forward thinking, our heritage shows a recurring theme of doing things differently – and achieving notable results. For example, we have won four Queen’s Anniversary Prizes and were awarded Gold for our Teaching Excellence Framework (TEF) submission.

We have an extensive network of partners, including over 90 veterinary practices and industry partners from the animal healthcare sector. We deliver outstanding veterinary education and research, with evidence based veterinary medicine at its core.

As the Lecturer/Senior Lecturer in Intensive Animal Health and Production you will shape the delivery of the curriculum in this area but also advance research at national and international level. You will develop teaching resources and networks relevant to health and production in intensive animal industries and provide instruction to undergraduate students within these areas.

This is an exciting opportunity for a dynamic individual to play a leading role in helping shape the department and University’s research programme as well as deliver an innovative curriculum.

In addition to competitive salary package with a 10% uplift for MRCVS registered applicants, you will receive a generous annual leave entitlement, USS pension scheme, tax free relocation package, development opportunities, an award-winning pension scheme, childcare assistance, relocation assistance (where applicable) and discounted membership to our world-renowned sports facility. The University is easily accessible by road and rail and is a short distance from both Heathrow and Gatwick airports.

We acknowledge, understand, and embrace diversity. We particularly encourage applications from people who identify as Black, Asian or from a Minority Ethnic background.
