An exciting and unique opportunity for an enthusiastic and passionate veterinary teacher and researcher to work in a multi-disciplinary environment. Working with clinical, academic and industrial partners you will help shape the future of evidence based veterinary medicine.

 

The University of Surrey School of Veterinary Medicine has an extensive partner network of more than 90 veterinary practices and industrial partners from the animal healthcare sector. We deliver outstanding veterinary education and research, with evidence based veterinary medicine at its core.

As Lecturer/Senior Lecturer in Evidence Based Veterinary Medicine you will champion the generation and use of clinical evidence, working with our partner network to answer some of the ‘big questions’ in primary care that are most relevant to practitioners. You will bid for external funding in collaboration with colleagues and you will mentor colleagues and students in research best practice. Using your expertise and experience in the subject, you will contribute to our highly-rated undergraduate and postgraduate teaching in the area of evidence based veterinary medicine.

The post holder will join the Department of Veterinary Clinical Sciences and our supportive, multidisciplinary team, dedicated to equipping the next generation of veterinarians for the challenges of the 21st Century. Curiosity, innovation and a willingness to work flexibly are essential, alongside excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills.
