The role

This is an exciting opportunity to join our teaching and learning community in Anatomy at Bristol, where a large team of teaching focused staff support ~1500 students.

The School of Anatomy delivers anatomy teaching to medical, dental, veterinary science and science undergraduates. We have three science programmes and provide postgraduate instruction through our CPD unit, the Vesalius Clinical Training Centre. We are also planning to introduce PGT programmes. As a lecturer or senior lecturer your academic portfolio will incorporate teaching and leadership roles dependant upon grade, focusing on Veterinary Science and Science.

This post will be appointed at Lecturer Grade K/L level depending on the individuals’ profiles and skill sets. Grade K Lecturers are responsible for teaching at levels appropriate to their specialism and may help to organise such teaching. Grade L Senior Lecturers offer significant experience of university teaching.

You will teach anatomy across science and veterinary science programmes and may be involved in interprofessional teaching for medicine and dentistry. You will be expected to contribute substantially to practicals, lectures and seminars.

You will design and supervise research projects for our BSc finalists. An excellent knowledge of Veterinary/Comparative Anatomy, and experience of research, is essential.

You should apply if

You are an enthusiastic teacher of anatomy, are passionate about the student experience, keen to innovate and want to join a friendly and creative team.
