Description

A Lectureship in Veterinary Clinical Microbiology is available at the University of Liverpool, School of Veterinary Science, Department of Veterinary Anatomy, Physiology and Pathology (VAPP). VAPP is part of the Institute of Infection, Veterinary and Ecological Sciences. VAPP is a European College of Veterinary Microbiology (ECVM) approved centre for training residents in veterinary microbiology.

This post gives the successful applicant an exciting opportunity to take part in the running and further development of a first-class Veterinary Microbiology Diagnostic laboratory with modern facilities and excellent multidisciplinary support from our hospitals and pathology service. This post involves teaching, research and diagnostic responsibilities, and applications from candidates wishing to follow a teaching and scholarship pathway are encouraged.

The ideal candidate will be a veterinary surgeon (MRCVS or eligible) with a further veterinary microbiology qualification, and either holding, or being eligible for an ECVM or ACVM Diploma.
